Lancia Delta 1300, 1500 & Early 1.3 Tires (1979–1991)
The Lancia Delta 1300 (1979–1986) was originally fitted with 13" wheels and 145 R13 tires, with 165/70 R13 also listed as a factory fitment depending on specification. The Lancia Delta 1500 (1979–1986) fitted 13" wheels and 165/70 R13 tires as standard. The Lancia Delta 1.3 and 1.3 Brio (1987–1991) continued with 13" wheels and 165/70 R13 tires. Early Lancia Delta 1600 GT (1983–mid-1980s) models were also fitted with 165/70 R13 tires before the move to 14" wheels.
For the 145 R13 fitment, Longstone’s recommended tire is the 145R13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67, which is entirely appropriate for the performance and character of the early Delta 1300.
The 145HR13 Michelin XAS FF is also an excellent option and more closely aligned with late-1970s tire development. However, as the FF specification uses a more competition-oriented compound, it represents a higher level of tire performance than is necessary for the modest output of the early 1300 models.
The 165/70 R13 size is not currently produced in a period-correct classic tire pattern. We recommend sourcing a quality modern radial from a reputable local tire specialist.

Lancia Delta LX & 1600 GT 14-Inch Tires (Mid-1980s–1989)
The Lancia Delta 1300 LX (1986–1989) fitted 14" wheels and 165/65 R14 tires. Later Lancia Delta 1600 GT and GTie (mid-1980s–1989) also fitted 165/65 R14 tires following the wheel upgrade.
The 165/65 R14 size is not currently manufactured in any premium classic tires. We suggest obtaining a good-quality modern radial from a specialist tire dealer.
Lancia Delta 1.6 IE, 1.8 IE & 2.0 IE Tires (1989–1992)
The later fuel-injected Lancia Delta 1.6 IE and 1.8 IE (1989–1992) fitted 14" wheels and either 175/65 R14 or 185/60 R14 tires depending on engine output and market specification. The Lancia Delta 2.0 IE (1989–1992) non-Integrale model fitted 14" wheels and 185/60 R14 tires.
Longstone’s recommended 185/60 R14 tire is the 185/60 VR 14 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2. The 175/65 R14 size is not currently produced in a period-correct classic tire pattern, but it is dimensionally close enough to 185/60 R14 that the 185/60 VR 14 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 can be fitted.

Best Lancia Delta Tires
The Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 was developed for lightweight performance cars and hot hatch applications using modern low-profile radial sizing. In dimensions such as 185/60 R14 and 195/55 R15 — which are inherently late-1980s performance sizes rather than vintage crossply-era dimensions — a contemporary high-quality performance radial is entirely appropriate.
The PE2 offers precise steering response, progressive grip characteristics and strong wet-weather stability. Its construction suits the relatively light weight and direct steering geometry of the Lancia Delta HF Turbo and early Integrale models, delivering balanced handling without excessive sidewall rigidity.
Lancia Delta HF Turbo, HF 4WD & Early Integrale 8V Tires (1983–1989)
The Lancia Delta 1.6 HF Turbo (1983–1986) fitted 14" alloy wheels and 185/60 R14 tires. The Lancia Delta HF 4WD (1986–1987) and early Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V (1987–1989) were also launched on 185/60 R14 tires.
The recommended 185/60 R14 tire for these models is the 185/60 VR 14 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2.

Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V 15-Inch Tires (1988–1989)
Some late HF Integrale 8V (1988–1989) references indicate 15" wheels with 195/55 R15 tires, though confirmation varies by market documentation.
Longstone’s recommended 195/55 R15 tire is the 195/55 VR 15 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2.
Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V Tires (1989–1991)
The Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V (1989–1991) fitted 15" wheels and 205/50 R15 tires. The facelift HF Integrale 16V (1991) retained 205/50 R15 tires prior to the Evoluzione update.
The recommended Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V tire is the 205/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7.

Best Lancia Delta Integrale Tires
The PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 was one of the defining ultra-low-profile performance tires of the late 1970s and 1980s, closely associated with high-output European sports and homologation models. By the time the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V and Evoluzione variants were introduced, the P7 name had become firmly established within this segment.
In 205/50 R15 and 205/55 R16 sizes, the P7 maintains the correct low-profile architecture and period tread character while benefiting from modern compound and construction standards. It remains an entirely appropriate choice for later Integrale models requiring both authentic looks and capable road performance.
Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I & II Tires (1991–1994)
The Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione I (1991–1992) introduced 16" wheels and fitted 205/45 R16 tires. The Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II (1993–1994) retained the same 205/45 R16 fitment.
The 205/45 R16 size is not currently manufactured in a period-correct classic tire pattern, and we recommend sourcing a suitable modern high-performance tire from a specialist dealer.

Corsa Tires
Lancia Delta S4 Stradale Tires (1985–1986)
The Lancia Delta S4 Stradale (1985–1986) fitted 16" wheels with 205/55 R16 tires as part of its original homologation specification.
The correct tire for the S4 Stradale is the 205/55WR16 Pirelli P Zero Corsa. This tire was developed specifically for the Delta S4 and reflects the level of performance the car was engineered to deliver. Given the S4’s mid-engine layout, supercharged and turbocharged power delivery, and Group B-derived chassis, fitting the tire designed for the car is the only proper choice. We also offer the 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 as an alternative period performance option. However, for originality and correct dynamic behaviour, the P Zero Corsa remains the definitive fitment for the S4 Stradale.
Lancia Delta Inner Tubes
Period fitment guides agree that every Lancia Delta wheel was tubeless, meaning they can be fitted without innertubes (providing the tire is also tubeless).
You may still want to fit a tube if your wheels are in poor condition. The correct tube for 145 R13 tires is the Michelin 13CG Offset Valve Inner Tube.
Tires with a profile below 70% (for example, 185/60 VR 14 Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2) are not designed for innertubes and must be fitted tubeless.
