Fiat 500 on Pirelli Cinturato Tires
- Tire pressure for a Fiat 500 ranges from 16-23 PSI depending on the specific model, the type of tires that you decide to fit, and pressure differences for front and rear tires.
- To find the ideal tire pressures for your car's year, model, and chosen tires follow the link to our Tire Pressure Guide.
- The Fiat 500 originally fitted 1.25 - 12 crossply tires. Later the Fiat 500 moved onto radial tires; we recommend the 125SR12 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN54 or 125 R 12 Michelin X, which are in production today.

Fiat 500 Crossply Tires
The first edition of the classic Fiat 500, the Nuova, fitted 1.25 - 12 crossply tires. It is very difficult to find a crossply tire in this size, however Fiat themselves fitted radials to all 500's post 1964.
Fitting a radial tire will improve the handling greatly, and radials are much better suited to high-speed modern roads.
Fiat 500 Radial Tires
We believe the ideal tire for the classic Fiat 500 is the 125SR12 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN54, alternatively the 125 R 12 Michelin X is another great option. Both tires would allow for a fantastic driving experience. We can offer PIRELLI CINTURATO AND MICHELIN X tires with a whitewall for the fashion conscious 500 owner!
Fiat 500 Whitewall Tires
If you're a fan of whitewall tires, both Michelin and Pirelli offer high-quality options in the 125 SR 12 size. Michelin produces the Michelin X Whitewall tire, which is designed for use with the Fiat Nuova or 500L. Meanwhile, Pirelli makes the CINTURATO CN54 Whitewall tire in the same size. With these choices available, you can enjoy the distinctive look of a whitewall without sacrificing on tire quality.
Fiat 500 Innertubes
When it comes to innertubes, we find that Michelin are the best in the business, which means that, in our mind the best innertube for a Classic Fiat 500 is the Michelin 12C Offset Valve Innertube.
The standard wheels fitted to these classic Fiat 500 are tube type wheels that are not suited to running tubeless, a standard wheel needs innertubes in order to function properly. However, the Michelin X and Cinturato are tubeless tires, and can therefore be run tubeless on a modern wheel. If you have the original standard wheel you will need innertubes, even if you fit tubeless tires.
Fiat 500 Borrani Wheels
Many Fiat 500 models use wire wheels, and Longstone works with the best in the business. Ruote Borrani Milano has supplied wire wheels to a number of well-known automakers over the years, including Jaguar and Maserati. Borrani exceeds all other wire wheel manufacturers in several ways. Borrani wheels weigh roughly 25% less than steel wire wheels since the rims are made of aluminium, and they are handcrafted in Italy to the finest standards. We can't think of a better way to accessorise your Fiat 500 than with a set of Borrani wheels; visit their website by clicking the Borrani link at the top of the page.
